PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of accurately estimating a fogging amount as compared with the case when the image processing device is not provided with this configuration even when a fog in an image is removed.SOLUTION: Reception means of an image processing device receives an image. Estimation means estimates a fogging amount which is a difference between a luminance value of the original pixel and a luminance value of a pixel of the image on the basis of the image. Measurement means measures a saturation value of a pixel in the image. Determination means determines a correction target value of a luminance value in a base in the image. Correction means corrects the saturation value on the basis of the fogging amount, the correction target value, and a distance from an achromatic color of the saturation value. The estimation means further calculates an information amount of a plurality of functions which estimate a fogging amount per scan line, selects the function to be applied the per scan line on the basis of the calculated information amount, selects a combination of functions on the basis of the information amount of the selected function and a different norm between the plurality of functions, and estimates a fogging amount by applying the selected combination of functions per scan line. |
