The invention relates to peri-arylene dyes, in particular terrylene- and quaterrylene dyes, which support the amino groups. Said compounds can be produced under mild reaction conditions. Based on their absorption spectra, they can be used, amongst other things, in the solar energy field, in particular as sensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells. |
