The invention relates to a method for operating an energy installation (1) which comprises: a wind turbine (2) or water turbine (2) connected to a generator (3), a converter unit (4) that is connected to said generator (3) on the generator side, and an auxiliary energy unit (5) which can be used to provide electrical energy to cover the intrinsic energy requirements of said energy installation (1). In said method, the converter unit (4) is connected to an electrical network (6) on the network side and electrical energy generated by the generator (3) is fed into the electrical network (6) via the converter unit (4), said auxiliary energy unit (5) being connected to the electrical network (6) for the purpose of drawing electrical energy, and in the event of the converter unit (4) and the auxiliary energy unit (5) being disconnected from the electrical network (6), the auxiliary energy unit (5) drawing electrical energy from an energy storage unit (7). In order for the intrinsic energy requirement of the energy installation to be covered during this disconnection in an advantageous manner, efficiently, cost-effectively, with low expenditure and even over a longer period of time, electrical energy is drawn from the energy storage unit (7) by said auxiliary energy unit (5) for an adjustable period of time if the converter unit (4) and the auxiliary energy unit (5) are disconnected from the electrical network (6), and following this said auxiliary energy unit (5) then draws electrical energy generated by the generator (3), via the converter unit (4). The invention also relates to a method for operating an energy system (9) which comprises a plurality of energy installations (1). |
