<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably rotate an image carrier at a steady speed with a simplified structure, a reduced cost and a saved space without needing a large torque for a drive source for driving the image carrier in start-up thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 40 and a flywheel 1 installed to a shaft end thereof are rotationally driven by a driving motor 3. A developing roller 61 is driven by a developing motor 6, and an auxiliary roller 2 is provided within a drive train from the developing motor 6 through a one-way clutch 29 and pressed onto the outer circumferential surface of the flywheel 1. When a photoreceptor is started up, the developing motor 6 (auxiliary motor) is driven together with the driving motor 3. The rotation of the auxiliary roller 2 driven by the auxiliary motor is transmitted to the flywheel 1 to assist start-up rotation of the photoreceptor drum 40. When the photoreceptor drum 40 reaches steady rotation, the auxiliary roller 2 idles without loading. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
