PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft type linear motor reducing a sliding resistance. SOLUTION: The shaft type linear motor includes a columnar bonded magnet alternately multipole-magnetizing N poles and S poles in the axial direction of a side as a single molded form consisting of magnetic powder and resin and a coil member including a coil surrounding the columnar bonded magnet. The shaft type linear motor further includes a bearing member including a receiving hole penetrating the columnar bonded magnet and supporting a reciprocating motion in the axial direction of the columnar bonded magnet. In the shaft type linear motor, a lubricant reducing the sliding resistance between the columnar bonded magnet and the bearing member is contained, and the side of the columnar bonded magnet is abutted against the inner peripheral surface of the receiving hole for the bearing member.
