The tile 10 comprises a base layer made of a plastic material and a top layer 12 of ceramic material. The base layer comprises a bottom layer 18 and a middle layer. The middle layer is attached to the top surface of the bottom layer in an offset relationship such that at least one edge of the middle layer extends beyond the edge of the bottom layer, defining a margin on the lower surface of the middle layer. Also, at least one edge of the bottom layer extends beyond the edge of the middle layer such that a margin 20 on the top surface of the bottom layer is defined. At least one of the margins comprises an adhesive material. The tile further comprises an expansion joint to fill the gap between the top layers of adjacent tiles. |
