The invention relates to a connector (10) for connecting a syringe to a gastronomy tube (12), the connector (10) comprising a bayonet style locking member (16) with a locking projection (40) for locking the connector (10) to the gastronomy tube (12). The locking projection (40) forms a receiving recess (42) for receiving and locking at least one wing (70) of an end portion (56) of the gastronomy tube (12). Further, the invention relates to a connector assembly having such a connector (10) and to a method for connecting a syringe to a gastronomy tube (12).
