摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack which can effectively prevent a thermal chain reaction and also has a high energy density. <P>SOLUTION: In a battery pack, a plurality of cylindrical unit cells 211 to 238 are stacked in a vertically zigzag manner when seen from a cylinder axis direction with their outer peripheral surfaces in contact with one another. Consequently, the battery pack has a high energy density. Furthermore, in the battery pack, a potting resin portion 239 is formed by filling in regions surrounded by the outer peripheral surfaces of the plurality of cylindrical unit cells 211 to 238, while making close contact with the outer peripheral surfaces. Thus, the potting resin portion 239 has high adhesion to the outer peripheral surfaces of the cylindrical unit cells 211 to 238 so that heat transmitted from the cylindrical unit cells 211 to 238 is dispersed over the entire part of the potting resin portion 239 to thereby effectively prevent a thermal chain reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
