The invention relates to a method for manufacturing polypropylene granules, said polypropylene being a polypropylene homopolymer and/or a statistical copolymer of polypropylene and of ethylene, which can be secondarily cross-linked, according to which the polypropylene is inserted in the form of granules in a first area of the extruder, the initiator is introduced in a second area, in the presence of the monomer which can be cross-linked at a temperature between 130 and 165°C, the time of presence of the initiator being less than one fifth of the half-life of decomposition thereof.
