1. A method of providing air traffic data to a display on a base aircraft, the method comprising:
receiving, at processing electronics, data regarding a first aircraft via a communication device on the base aircraft, the data being indicative of a location of the first aircraft; receiving a location of the base aircraft from a location source; determining the location of the first aircraft relative to the location of the base aircraft; determining whether the location of the first aircraft relative to the location of the base aircraft is within a field of view associated with a display; providing an indication of the first aircraft to the display based on a determination that the relative location of the first aircraft is within the field of view; and comparing the relative location of the first aircraft to a range threshold value; and adjusting the indication based on a determination that a range between the first aircraft and the base aircraft has crossed the range threshold value.
