The chainsaw has a cutting chain (2) mounted around a driving pinion and an oblonged shaped chain guide (3), and an electrical driving motor i.e. brushless direct current motor (4), for driving the chain through the pinion. The motor is enclosed in a cooling case (5) provided with parts (5A), where the casing is made of a light metal alloy. A surface of the cooling casing parts is directly contacted with power switching components (6a) of an electronic control card (6), and the motor is contacted with a surface of the casing so as to obtain static cooling of the motor. An independent claim is also included for a method for static cooling an electrical chainsaw. |
