A method for providing a hardware macro of a keyboard device according to embodiments of the present invention comprises the steps of generating a time stamp based on the relative time of a key event whenever the key event is sensed when capturing a macro; storing a first macro sequence composed of key event-time stamp pairs; reading the stored first macro sequence when executing the macro, and generating and outputting a first macro key scan code, corresponding to each of the key events forming the first macro sequence, at the time corresponding to the time stamp which makes a pair with each of the key events or at predetermined intervals; and generating a key code based on the outputted macro key scan code and transmitting the key code to a host device.
