LIGHT EMITTING DIODE HAVING A PLURALITY OF LIGHT EMITTING UNITS

Disclosed is a light emitting diode (LED) having a plurality of unit light emitting elements. The LED comprises a substrate; the unit light emitting elements disposed on the substrate; and multiple wiring connecting the unit light emitting elements, wherein the unit light emitting elements include unit light emitting elements of a parallelogram shape with two acute angles and two obtuse angles. The present invention can reduce the loss of the light generated from the side of the unit light emitting elements by mounting the unit light emitting elements of a parallelogram shape. Furthermore, disclosed is a technique for improving light extraction efficiency by forming an uneven pattern having fine irregularities on the substrate.
