The present invention relates to a digital broadcasting system and a data processing method for transmitting and receiving digital broadcasts. The present invention provides the data processing method which comprises the steps of: receiving a broadcast signal in which mobile service data and main service data are multiplexed; parsing program table information including information about a service or a program of a corresponding ensemble according to an identifier of the ensemble in which the mobile service data among the received broadcast signal is multiplexed; and expressing the mobile service data by using the parsed program table information. The present invention is more effective when applied to a portable and mobile receiver which has severe channel changes and requires robustness against noise.
