A method and an apparatus for executing encoding using low density parity check codes are provided to control easily encoding rates by removing parity bits based on the number of puncturing bits. An encoding apparatus includes a controller(320) and an encoder(350). The controller obtains the number of information bits to be processed on plural channels during a predetermined period and selects one of the plural channels using a predetermined scheme based on the obtained number of the information bits. The encoder encodes information bits corresponding to the selected channels. The controller decides channels required for encoding among the plural channels according to the obtained number of the information bits and selects a channel to be encoded among the decided channels using a round robin scheme. |
