An HID lamp exchange alarming device is provided to sense the deterioration of an HID lamp and to inform a driver of the exchange of the HID lamp, thereby preventing the malfunction of the HID lamp caused by deterioration. An HID lamp exchange alarming device comprises an SMPS(110), a transformer, a rectifier(120), an H-bridge(130), an LED alarming lamp(300) and a controller(150). The SMPS outputs switching voltage. The transformer boosts the outputted switching voltage and outputs the boosted voltage to a secondary side. The rectifier rectifies the boosted lamp voltage and coverts it into DC voltage. The H-bridge converts the DC voltage into rectangular wave AC voltage in order to apply it to the HID lamp. The LED alarming lamp alarms the deterioration of the HID lamp. The controller transmits a current amount control signal to the SMPS. The controller turns off the LED alarming lamp when the lamp voltage is more than critical value. |
