On embodiment of the present invention relates to a rechargeable battery which discharges water from a groove which is formed in the combination part of a plate terminal and a rivet terminal and prevents the corrosion of the combination part. A rechargeable battery according to one embodiment of the present invention includes an electrode assembly which has charge and discharge functions, a case in which the electrode assembly is formed, a cap plate which is combined with the opening part of the case, and an electrode terminal which is combined with the terminal hole of the cap plate. The electrode terminal includes a plate terminal which is arranged in the outside of the cap plate corresponding to the terminal hole has a through hole, and a rivet terminal which is electrically connected to the electrode assembly, penetrates the terminal hole to be inserted into the through hole, and is upwardly riveted to the plate terminal. The plate terminal includes a first groove which is extended from the upper part of the rivet terminal to the through hole, and a second groove which is extended from the first groove to the outside of the plate terminal. |
