The present invention relates to a core-shell nanostructure and a photoelectrode for a solar cell including the same. The photoelectrode for a solar cell according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a core which contains Au nanoparticles; and a core-shell nanostructure which includes a metal shell which is formed on the core. Also, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the photoelectric transformation efficiency of the solar cell is increased by using the Au nanoparticles and a metallic surface plasomon resonance.
