The present invention relates to a composition for prevention or treatment of erectile dysfunction comprising angiopoietin-4 protein as an active ingredient. The angiopoietin-4 protein according to the present invention increases the level of endothelial cell-specific protein to induce the regeneration of endothelial cells of blood vessels in the penis of a man, thereby increasing the internal pressure of corpus spongiosum in the penis, and thus can be practically used for prevention or treatment of erectile dysfunction.
