Provided are relay-initiated relay teardown operations in a wireless communication network. One embodiment includes the steps of: selecting one wireless relay among a plurality of candidate wireless relays; and setting relay operations by using the selected wireless relay for wireless communication between wireless stations through the selected wireless relay. The selected wireless relay provides relay operations for wireless communication to wirelessly communicate between the wireless stations through the selected wireless relay. The relay-initiated operations are finished by the selected wireless relay.
