The invention relates to a biosensor for determining the iron content in wine. According to the invention, the biosensor comprises a disposable biochip and a portable miniature opto-electronic unit, using a porous paper disk (), named biochip, impregnated with a certain amount of potassium ferrocyanide in crystallized state which, upon contacting 1 ml of wine to be analyzed, gives a blue-coloured reaction, the measuring of the colour intensity and the conversion thereof into iron concentration units being carried out by a compact portable photometric structure, formed, in its turn, of a body () which accommodates a crown of six LEDs (), circularly arranged around a photodiode (), all LEDs emitting on a wavelength complementary to the wavelength corresponding to the blue-coloured reaction of the iron, a converging lens (), an electronic amplifier (), an electric source () of a battery or storage cell-type and a microprocessor ().
|
