An apparatus for presenting a rich media service over an electronic service guide (ESG) includes a rich media portal unit configured to receive information about rich media content; a rich media service integration unit configured to generate metadata that describes a relationship between the rich media content and television content; and an ESG generator configured to generate an ESG based on the metadata.
