The system (1) has a fish-plate (6) that is intended to be arranged in a straddling manner on two joined ends of a set of U-shaped sections of a cable tray. A pair of clips (7) is arranged for fixing of the fish-plate on the sections, where each clip is provided with an elastically deformable leg (18). The clips are introduced through a notch. A perforation of the sections is arranged to adopt a locking configuration in which the leg is engaged with an edge of the perforation on a side opposed to the fish-plate so as to retain and maintain the clips in its locking configuration. An independent claim is also included for a method for solidarization of sections of a cable tray.
