The present invention relates to a vehicle with a trunk room enabling easy deployment and withdrawal of items and a method thereof. The vehicle includes: a vehicle body including a body unit which rules out the area of the trunk room, a lid which is movably installed on the body unit to open or close the trunk room, and a horizontal jaw which is arranged to face an end unit of the lid while the lid is keeping the trunk room closed; a lifting unit which is installed in the trunk room and perform a lifting operation in either of a first mode or a second mode while supporting an item; a first sensor which is installed on the horizontal jaw and detects a subject item placed on the horizontal jaw; and a control unit which controls the lifting unit to perform a lifting operation in either of the first mode or the second mode based on the length of the time the first sensor is detecting the presence of the subject item.
