A method, user node and remote access server for releasing an address comprise: when a user node releases an internet protocol version 6 IPv6 address, the IPv6 address released is notified to nodes in the local link. In the present technical solution, when a user node releases an IPv6 address generated according to a prefix, the IPv6 released is notified to nodes in the local link, which promotes charging accuracy, improves user experience, and also facilitates the recycling of address resources in the local link such that a released address can be reused in the network. |
