HYDRO PLANT UNIT FOR CONVERTING THE HYDRAULIC ENERGY EXTRACTED FROM RIVERS

The invention relates to a hydro plant unit for converting the hydraulic energy extracted from rivers. According to the invention, the hydro plant unit comprises two counter-rotating axial kinetic turbines () which independently actuate, in an air-tight construction, an armature inductor () equipped with two permanent magnets of a synchronous alternating-current or direct-current electric generator, an armature () equipped with a winding () connected to a consumer electric circuit by means of some slip rings () and some brushes (), the electric winding-brushes connection wires being passed through the inside of a tubular shaft (), the entire construction as well as a fixed brush housing () being supported by some anchoring tie-rods () so that when the two turbines () with opposedly oriented blades rotate in opposite directions, the two armatures () of the generator, both of them rotors, have a relative rotation speed very much increased in comparison with the classic construction with a single turbine, namely with a single rotating armature of the generator, with the consequence of the voltage increase at the terminals and the size reduction of the generator at a determined power.
