A disconnection detection method of a power cable in a motor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of measuring a plurality of phase currents supplied from an inverter to the motor through the power cable; obtaining a first axis current of a stop coordinate system and a second axis current of the coordinate system by converting the phase currents into the stop coordinate system; calculating a cable disconnection index by using the first axis current and the second axis current of the stop coordinate system; and detecting the disconnection of the power cable by using the cable disconnection index.
