The present specification relates to a method for compensating a side plane translation error of a planar electromagnetic wave transparent structure based on a metamaterial. According to a disclosed embodiment of the present specification, the method for compensating the side plane translation error of the planar electromagnetic wave transparent structure is a method of compensating the side plane translation error of the planar electromagnetic wave transparent structure based on semi-equal angle mapping. The method comprises the steps of: increasing the overall height of the planar electromagnetic wave transparent structure based on the semi-equal angle mapping and the height of a hidden space at the bottom of the planar electromagnetic wave transparent structure simultaneously; and compensating the side plane translation error by moving entire structure including the planar electromagnetic wave transparent structure and the hidden space in parallel to the downward direction by an increased height.
