<p>[Problem] To provide a dust scatter preventing agent capable of preventing scattering of dust for a long period of time, by enhancing the strength of a coating layer formed on a surface of a tailing at a tailing accumulation site. [Solution] A dust scatter preventing agent is applied to a surface of an object which includes microparticles having a particle diameter of no more than 100 µm, and the agent is solidified to form a coating layer on the surface of the object, the dust scatter preventing agent containing a hydrophilic polymer which naturally solidifies, such as polyvinyl alcohol or a synthetic resin emulsion, the water contact angle after solidification thereof being 45°-78°, and a hardly soluble fiber material such as vinylon, the cut length thereof ranging from 0.5 mm to 30 mm and the fineness thereof ranging from 0.1 dtex to 20 dtex, the dust scatter preventing agent including an aqueous solution or an aqueous dispersion, and the content of the hardly soluble fiber material with respect to the hydrophilic polymer being 0.1-1 by mass ratio.</p> |
