<p>An easel (1) for supporting an art work (2) comprising a cover (9) releasably and pivotally coupled to the easel (1 ) by partly hook-shaped tongue elements (49) which are engageable with a bar element (48) mounted on a transversely extending support ledge (43) of the easel (1). The cover (9) is pivotal about the bar element (48) between an open state illustrated in Fig. 1 exposing the art work (2), and a closed state illustrated in Fig. 5 secured to a tower element (22) of the easel (1) by a securing strap (69) for protecting the art work (2) on the easel (1). A rear protecting panel is provided behind the art work (2) on the easel (1) for protecting the rear of the art work (2).</p> |
