The present invention relates to an apparatus for reducing propeller induced exciting force around a stern (11) having a propeller, comprising a detection unit (20) for detecting a vibration state of a main vibration part adjacent to the stern (11); a compensator (30) installed at the top of the propeller (15) of the stern (11) to generate force for offsetting propeller induced exciting force; and a controller (40) for changing the characteristics of the propeller induced exciting force of the compensator (30) in response to a signal from the detection unit (20). Therefore, the apparatus for reducing propeller induced exciting force improves the environment of a large ship having low regulations on vibration and of a high value superstructure as the compensator installed on a hull around the top of the propeller offsets the propeller induced exciting force causing vibration.
