The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display (LCD) device and a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the LCD device comprises: data lines; gate lines which are overlapped with the data lines; common voltage lines formed in parallel to the data lines between the data lines; pixel electrodes formed in a pixel area defined by overlapped common voltage lines, gate lines and data lines; and a liquid crystal panel including a thin film transistor formed on sections of the gate lines and data lines. a gate electrode of the first thin film transistor formed at the section of a K (two or higher natural number) gate line and a J (two or higher natural number) data line is connected to the K gate line. A source electrode is connected to the J data line. A drain electrode is connected through a first protruding electrode and a first contact electrode extended from the pixel electrode adjacent to the J+1 data line or J-1 data line. |
