The present invention pertains to an optical waveguide provided with a plurality of cores (11), a clad (12), and other elements. The optical waveguide has a combination (141, 142) of adjacent cores having the same structure. The adjacent cores having the same structure are disposed so that the first angle of an acute angle between the easy-bend direction and a first inter-core line segment linking the centers of adjacent cores is less than 30°, or preferably so that the easy-bend direction and the first inter-core line segment are parallel to each other.
