Provided are a novel complex capable of fixing nitrogen atoms, and the use thereof. Complexes shown by formula (1A) or formula (1B) or cationic or anionic complexes of these complexes, wherein M1-M4 (M1-M3 in the case of formula (1A)) are each independently Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, or W, and L1-L4 (L1-L3 in the case of formula (1A)) are each independently ligands selected from ligands (Cp) containing a substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl derivative, diphenylamine ligands, diphenylphosphine ligands, and carboimideamide ligands. |
