Disclosed is an apparatus for removing scales generated on the surface of a strip, which removes the mill scales produced on the upper and lower surfaces of the strip in a rolling process and prevents foreign matters from remaining on the strip after the removal. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for removing scales on the surface of the strip includes a scale removing part disposed between a front upper roll and a front lower roll of a tension stand to remove mill scales when the strip advances, a lifting part for lifting/lowering the front lower roll, and air knives disposed in front of and behind both the front upper roll and the front lower roll. |
