<p>The present invention relates to a home door-lock system and to a method therefor. According to the present invention, when a visitor visits the home, the opening and closing of an entrance door can be remotely controlled by the home owner using a portable terminal already registered in the home door-lock system so that the lock setting of the home door-lock system is remotely released and the visitor can enter the home. The present invention includes: a fingerprint recognition unit which is disposed on one side of an opening and closing handle of the home door-lock system so as to recognize the fingerprint of the visitor; a door-lock control unit which compares the recognized fingerprint data with the fingerprint data already registered in a memory so as to determine whether the visitor is a resident or not; a visitor imaging unit which is disposed on one side surface on the front surface of the home door-lock system so as to capture an image of the visitor corresponding to a control signal inputted from the door-lock control unit when the visitor is not an already registered resident; a transceiver which transmits the captured image data through a wireless network to the portable terminal of the resident already registered in the memory and receives the input of the password of the home door-lock system from the portable terminal of the resident corresponding to the image data; and an entrance door opening and closing unit which remotely releases the lock setting of the home door-lock system corresponding to the inputted password of the home door-lock system.
