MACHINE CHUCK COUPLING APPARATUS

A machine chuck coupling apparatus for a machine chuck body comprises at least two jaw slide members and at least two jaw members together forming a circular shape having a radius with a radial axis and outer peripheral curved surface with a central inner recess for a work piece. Each jaw member is slidably attached underneath to one jaw slide member by sliding engagement in a curved axis at right angles to the radial axis. Each slide member is operatively supported underneath and slidably connected in a radial direction, to the machine chuck body whereby the jaw members are adapted to hold at least one workpiece there between. The sliding engagement includes an insert member being slidably joined to the jaw member and jaw slide member to produce a quick change jaw members with one easy push type lock mechanism per jaw member with no fasteners. There is disclosed an alternative jaw member and insert member. A method of assembly is also included.
