PURPOSE: An exhaust gas reduction device of a vessel engine and a method thereof are provided to reduce the nitrogen oxide of exhaust gas economically and to prevent the generation of sediment such as a sulphate and gypsum. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas reduction device(1) of a vessel engine comprises an exhaust line(L1), an air intake line(L2), a turbocharger(200), and a nitrogen generation module(300). The exhaust line discharges the exhaust gas of an engine(100), and the exhaust gas flows into a turbine unit of the turbo charger. The turbocharger includes the turbine unit and a compression unit. The nitrogen generation module is connected to the air intake line and separates nitrogen by receiving the compressed air from the turbocharger. The air intake line supplies the compressed air to the engine. |
