The unit has an assembly base plate (1) that is mounted fixedly in a collar (C) of a container (R). An applicator cap (2) is mounted in a removable manner on the base plate. The cap is arranged with an end applicator (24) that is moved from an inserted initial position in which the applicator is inserted to the maximum in a reception chamber (10), towards a partially extracted position in which the applicator is partially or completely extracted from the chamber. A loading passage (15) presents a larger bypass section in the initial position than in the extracted position. The container is provided as a small bottle.
