An inverter device is provided with an inverter circuit comprising a plurality of bridge-connected switching elements, a capacitor that is connected in parallel to the input side of the inverter circuit, a temperature detection unit that detects the temperature of the capacitor, a battery charge information acquisition unit that acquires charge information related to a battery that is connected to the input side of the inverter circuit, and a warm-up control unit. When the temperature of the capacitor detected by the temperature detection unit is lower than a specified temperature, the warm-up control unit sets a warm-up current on the basis of the battery charge information acquired by the battery charge information acquisition unit and the temperature of the capacitor detected by the temperature detection unit and controls the switching elements of the inverter circuit so that the warm-up current is supplied to the winding of an electric motor that is connected to the output side of the inverter circuit. |
