The present invention relates to a horse-riding system using the principle of horse-riding movement, the system being adapted to allow the rider to become familiar with aids in a virtual fashion, by reacting in accordance with horse-riding techniques that riders perform on the bodies of horses, and the present invention also relates to a control method therefor. In the present invention, sensor values that accord with rider aids are adjusted taking into account horse body actions and rider posture and then a horse body is driven in correspondence with a pre-set horse-riding technique, thereby ensuring that sensor values input from the rider have a very close resemblance to real riding conditions, so affording advantageous effects such as that it is possible to effectively learn, under conditions similar to reality, horse-riding techniques which require a precise posture of the rider.
