A remotely controllable pipeline monitoring device is disclosed. The monitoring device has two concave portions which are hinged together, and are able to clamp about a portion of a pipe. When clamped about the pipe, the device is able to rotate about the pipe through at least 3600. This allows measuring tools to be employed at specific locations about the pipe. |
