PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of uniting the security of heat transfer to material to be heated upon heat treatment and the security of fluidity of the material to be heated in a furnace, in a heat treatment device which performs the heat treatment of the material to be heated projected to a furnace main body.SOLUTION: A heat treatment device includes: a furnace main body 1 which has a hollow internal part, is vertically extensible and allows material to be heated to be projected thereinto; a heater which is arranged on the furnace main body and heats the material to be heated projected into the furnace main body; rectangular cross-section parts 10A, 10B being formed on a portion where the heater is installed in the furnace main body and having a rectangular horizontal cross-section; and heat transfer parts 130 which are formed on inner wall surfaces 110 in a long side direction opposite to each other on a rectangular cross-section part and transfer heat from the heater to the material to be heated.
