PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external fixation system by which a surgeon can securely fix and lock the pins and wires to the bars with a clamp and adjust them easily when performing proper stabilization and reduction of a fracture.SOLUTION: A clamping device 100 for an external fixation system includes outer jaws 110a, 110b and inner jaws 108a, 108b having an inner surface facing the outer jaw. The outer and inner jaws together form an opening for receiving a fixation element of the external fixation system. The inner jaw includes a cylindrical outer-facing surface. A base component having a cylindrical concave surface interacts with the inner jaw. The device provides rotations around a roll axis, a pitch axis and a yaw axis. |
