The mobile terminal according to an embodiment determines that a touch pen is inserted when a predetermined period has elapsed after pattern capacitance decreases lower than a threshold value as the touch pen came to be in contact with the pattern, and that a touch pen is separated when a predetermined period has elapsed after pattern capacitance increases more than the threshold value as the touch pen is separated from the touch pen. |
