PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing high photocatalytic activity titanium oxide which can provide visible light-responsive titanium dioxide excellent in photocatalytic activity under, e.g., ordinary temperature and normal pressure, in a relatively short time and in a simple and convenient manner.SOLUTION: The method of producing high photocatalytic activity titanium oxide comprises: preparing an aqueous solution 2 containing titanium dioxide powder having a chemical composition represented by the general formula TiO; and generating plasma 4 in the aqueous solution 2. The plasma 4 is preferably glow discharge plasma. |
