The present invention relates to a backflow prevention device for a drain pipe that prevents backflow of odor or insects entered through a drain, which comprises a tube-shaped body whose one end part is inserted to an inlet of a horizontal drain pipe in a drainage direction; a lid hinged to an upper part of an end part edge of one end of the body to open/close the end part of one end of the body along the rotating hinge; and a curtain located between a part that leads to the other part of the other side through the upper part of both sides or one side of the both sides of one end of the body and a surface of the lid corresponding to the previously stated part. The curtain opens the lower part between the body and the lid as one part of the body is open along the rotation of the lid, and the remaining upper part is spread in the shape of a fan centered on the hinge connection part of the lid to form a film between its inner side and outer side. According to the present invention, as the curtain located between the body and the lid prevents a crack between the body and the lid through which odor or insects can be entered, it can prevent backflow of wastewater or domestic sewage through the drainage pipe and prevents odor or insects from entering inside of a living space even when the lid is open during the drainage of wastewater or domestic sewage. |
