A system for collecting medical data includes a database server programmed to receive data in a number of different formats from respective different data sources. The database server is connectable to a communications network. A number of remote data collection arrangements are associated with respective medical operators and each is configured to permit said respective medical operators to input medical data relating to a medical condition of a patient into the data collection arrangement and to write the medical data to the database server via the communications network.
