摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a toner by which a toner excellent in a balance of heat resistance and low-temperature fixability can be produced with a smaller amount of byproduct fine particles having a small particle diameter.SOLUTION: The production method of a toner includes: a core forming step of preparing an aqueous dispersion liquid of core colored resin particles by suspension polymerization of a polymerizable monomer composition for the core comprising a polymerizable monomer for the core and a colorant in an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersant; and a shell forming step of producing core-shell colored resin particles by adding a polymerizable monomer for the shell and a polymerization initiator for the shell to the aqueous dispersion liquid after the core forming step, and by carrying out suspension polymerization to form a shell layer on a surface of the core colored resin particle. In the production method, (1) the polymerizable monomer for the shell and the polymerization initiator for the shell are added to the aqueous dispersion liquid when a polymerization conversion rate of the polymerizable monomer for the core reaches 90 mass% or more in the core forming step; and (2) the core-shell colored resin particles are produced by suspension polymerization under the conditions satisfying the following expressions (I): 60≤T≤95 and (II): T-30≤T≤T-5, where Ti(°C) is a polymerization temperature in the suspension polymerization in the shell forming step, and T(°C) is a 10-hour half-life temperature of the polymerization initiator for the shell.</p>
