NOVEL CATION SURFACTANT DERIVED FROM MODIFIED NATURAL OIL, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND FABRIC SOFTNER USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a novel cationic surfactant manufactured by modifying an unsaturated fatty acid group contained in natural oil into a hydroxyl group and/or an alkoxy group, a manufacturing method thereof, and a fabric softener using the same. More specifically, the novel cationic surfactant derived from natural oil according to the present invention is manufactured by using natural oil in which an unsaturated fatty acid group included in the natural oil is modified by using hydrogen peroxide solutions and distilled water or alcohol, and the manufactured fabric softener exhibits excellent stability and flexibility effects when the fabric softener is manufactured by using the same. Additionally, the fabric softener is able to be emulsified at low temperatures since dispersibility and solubility in water are excellent by increasing the hydrophilic property of the fatty acid group and is able to be emulsified at high concentration since the viscosity of an emulsion is low. A fabric treated with the fabric softener according to the present invention exhibits excellent water absorption force as compared to a fabric treated with a fabric softener manufactured by an existing cationic surfactant, thereby capable of being usefully applied as the cationic surfactant for the fabric softener.
